Hey Sierra and everyone else I talked baseball with, how you feel about the postseason at this point? As a Cubs fan, I am really happy the bats came alive tonight. Still scared shitless of Kershaw, though. Even if we pull off this series, the Indians are not a great match up for us I don't think. They led the league in stolen bases, which will not be pretty for Lester and Arrieta

The Indians are scary as shit, that's for sure... they've been great all year and are so deep. Crazy to think they've been doing this with two of their best pitchers (I think Salazar is still out) out for the year. You guys really needed that win last night, if I were the Dodgers I'd run Kershaw out there tonight... but they might wait till Game 6? Use him tonight and then bring him out of the pen if needed in a potential Game 7 like Bumgarner

I still think you guys win this series in 7.

Hoping so. Yeah, Salazar is still out and so is Carrasco... What the actual fuck. And now Bauer is obviously having problems with his hand, too. I think they are worried about pushing Kershaw too far, but Maeda/Lester is a really favorable matchup for us. Jon is our best pitcher against the dodgers and in general this postseason. So if they stick to what they said and pitch clayton game 6 I'll be thrilled. absolutely thrilled.

Yeah Clayton has a track record of coming up small af in the big starts, so maybe he's due for another playoff dud. I'm gonna give him the benefit of the doubt and say he's able to pull it off though. Maddon just sets the perfect tone for the clubhouse, I know he's never won a chip yet but he's pretty much the definition of how to lead a team.

2008 Rays :[. I loved that team. I thought they fucking had it and they seemingly came out of absolutely nowhere. Maddon is probably the best manager in baseball if you ask me. Like you said, this is a testament to that. We were shut out for like 20 innings straight and then the hitters most in a slump got it going. I mean he's not solely responsible, but he definitely plays a role. I just wish he didn't warm up chapman in the pen when we are up 10-2...
