Fuck it, I sat around doing nothing too long. Yes people are just letting Dan stroll on down the road thinking he'll be a huge shield for them (not a fat joke). And it's a good strategy, don't get me wrong. But how boring and predictable. And I've already voiced that concern to plenty of people.
