Summary
I haven’t updated much last round (#08), so I figured I should do a small recap. After the Dale scandal #2, I got a PM from Ozzy saying that he found the Pohnpei idol and that he was sorry that he lied to me and I was his ride or die and this idol was not only his safety but ~OUR safety~ . I’m like whatever, I knew it, I don’t know why he had to lie to me, when I came up to him after that first leak got out, that was a good opportunity for both of us to remain close, the lie wasn’t necessary unless he was afraid I was going to use it against him considering we were surrounded by a Saipan majority. But knowing that Dale’s psycho attempt #2 leaked the two idols, Ozzy couldn’t just lie anymore, and I think the Saipans had in mind booting him.
Anyway, so I pretended that I was very happy that he told me the truth and I wouldn’t hold it against him. He then told me that he heard my name thrown out by the Saipan and apparently it was going to be either myself or Dan that was going to get the boot the round Rachel left. I wasn’t surprised in the least, I knew something was up, and I knew Ozzy knew more than I did , because these people are horrible bullshitters and they ignored me all day WTF and it’s very easy to detect BS.
So, luckily we won the challenge and holy shit I should have tried something or at least went to Tammy & Heidi and begged safety because that challenge lasted a bit of a while and knowing there was 10 min left to scramble for Pohnpei that could have been me scrambling for my life..
Anyway we won and I’m so happy Mookie got sent home, I was about to send a PM to Dan , that if he had to take someone out , make sure it’s Mookie because he’s probably going to join the Saipan and Nate, and I do not want this to happen, and he just KO'd Ozzy's partner and I don't know if Ozzy is upset or not, I'll have to pick his brain this weekend
1. Now that the Merge is here and it has gone to an Individual game, how will your strategy change?
I'll keep the same strategy, I'll still get to know everyone, and make deals that could earn me some safety, but as of now , I have to explore every option and start thinking who do I want to sit next to in the end. I mean it's easier said than done, but it's very important to differentiate between what the majority thinks versus my own opinion WHICH I ALWAYS TEND TO DO IN THESE GAMES!! (sorry for caps)
In the end the jury is going to decided who wins, and if I'm going to be sitting next to someone who's going to kick my ass, well it means that I didn't really do a good job studying those relationships and investigating who hates/likes who, so I have to put ton of work into that.
2. Are you worried about any alliances or groups in particular?
I’m worried about Nate teaming up Saipans, he openly told me that he wasn’t too happy with the former Naurus, so I take that he’s going to try and target them and he's going to pull anyone that is willing to vote against them, and I've witnessed how impulsive he can be when he wanted to vote for Jessica for him to get that immunity..
Do you think that the previous tribal breakdowns will factor into this merge at all?
YES! definitely and I can speak myself because I was a victim of it in Nepal. When I booted Stacey at a tie breaker, that didn’t really sit well with others and she got booted the very next round, which I believe this boot will probably follow with what happened in Pohnpei 3.0
3. Are you concerned with any threats in the game, and if you are a threat... are you concerned with being targetted for being a threat?
People I view as a threat:
Nate – he’s becoming a bit of a dictator, he found two idols, and he can be quite persuasive
Ozzy- it’s no secret that most people know he has the idol , and he’s very crafty and I wouldn't be surprised if he were to dominate the challenges and he's VERY likable and aside from the lies , he's playing a very good game
Heidi- could be the ringleader of the saipan crew
Rich- his alliance with the Saipan is scary, and he's a bit of a dictator
Penner- he's probably the biggest goat of this game, and the further he goes in this, the harder it will be to get rid of him and that what makes him a threat, he'd be my ideal first boot
4. Now that the merge is upon us, players begin to look towards the finals and WINNING the game. How do you plan on proving to your other players that you deserve to win amongst all of these all-stars?
TOO SOON! but let's assume I'm sitting in the end and I'm in front of the jury, I'd say:
I used people as shield to benefit myself further in the game
and I’ve pretty much been in the loop aside from the Saipan round which I knew I was probably going to be screwed, I always knew who had the idols, who to be wary of and who is more trustworthy
Also, I think I’m likable and I’ve aligned myself with people I didn’t think I would have aligned with in the first place
I’ve aligned with those :
- in power (idol holder-Ozzy),
- who are loud (Dan)
- who are untrustworthy (Ozzy, rich- but that’s TBD)
-who are goats (rocky)
- who have similar character like myself (Tammy- that’s TBD too)
again too soon to tell lol
5. Who would you ideally like to team up with and who do you want to see gone ASAP? Are you planning on stepping outside of your comfort zone and making new allies/friends in this merge?
Dan, Rocky , Sugar, Sierra, Drew, and Ozzy and second part of the question, Yes! see above #4
