4th Place | 10th Juror | 3-1 Vote

#5911 Hey Jonathan! Congrats on making it to the final 7!

1) So going by the trio's mentioned at tribal council, am I correct in assuming that Sierra/Hayden/Sugar are now the deciding majority for the next vote?

2)So it looks like you knew of the Nate blindside that happened, how did that happen and how did you get him to play his idol for you?

3) Also, do you mind talking to us about what you love about Survivor? Who's your favorite contestant of all time and why?

#5936 [quote="Kelly Wigles"]Hey Jonathan! Congrats on making it to the final 7!

1) Sugar/Hayden/Sierra AND me are the deciding majority of four for the next vote. Or Tammy/Heidi/Ozzy and me are the deciding majority . I'm sort of a swing vote right now between the two group, although most likely Ozzy and I will go with the “outsiders” as we call them.

2) I told everyone to vote for Nate, I’m taking credit for that blindside. Before the vote, I approached Nate with some “panicked” messages and he agreed to use the idol to save me. Seemingly Ozzy was doing the same thing, asking him to use the idol on me. I still feel terrible about how it went down, I have a lot of time for Nate. I’ve found myself in a tough position whereby I have to vote out my closest friends (Val, Nate) in order to progress, but it’s what has to be done.

The next vote will be very straight-forward (Heidi or Tammy) but after that it’s extremely tricky. If I stick with my alliance, we’ll have to vote out Ozzy at Final 6, which I really don’t want to do. A lot of this will come down to Hayden, I need to know would he vote out me or Sierra at final 4. One of Sierra/Ozzy will make it to F4 and I need them to be a bigger target than me. Hayden and I have the best shot at winning the FIC, and Hayden/Sugar are going to be sat there with the eventual winner, who’s gonna be Sierra, Ozzy or me.

3) I love this question! Survivor for me is all about the characters and the relationships between them. I want to understand what motivates them, who they like, and I want them to make tons of emotional decisions. I hate when the game is dominated by “strategic” players who constantly talk about the numbers and don’t make any decisions based on emotion. Sure, it’ll make their game easier, but it ignores the human element of what makes Survivor so appealing.

Most of the really iconic moments in Survivor come from castaways who are emotionally invested in the experience as a whole and not just the prospect of winning a million dollars at the expense of a bunch of strangers. Sue’s snakes and rats speech would never have happened if she just thought “hey, you guys got me! Good game!” – her feelings were hurt, she was angry, because this wasn’t just a game of human chess to her.

My all-time favourite castaway is Natalie Anderson, I’m lowkey obsessed with her. I’m a twin so I really LOVED the twins on the Amazing Race. I appreciated their “annoying” personalities in a way that was completely relatable to me as a twin. When I found out they would be on SJDS I was so excited to see it and then completely devastated when Nadiya was sent home first. The whole season I was on the edge of my seat praying Natalie would survive just one more episode, and seeing her post-merge annihilation of everyone who wronged her was fantastic. Also honourable mention to my buddy Joaquin who’s coming to Dublin soon to party #namedrop

#5937 1)Oh you're a twin, that's pretty interesting. What do you feel are the key differences between you and your twin? And what are the most common questions or reactions you get from people when they find out you're a twin?

2)How would you compare your experiences with this season to your first season? Is it tougher or easier this time around?

3) It appears to be a common sentiment that Hayden and Sugar are not revered strategically in the same way as the rest of the tribe. What would you do if you were in their position to make sure that you win if you do get to the final 3?

1) Me and my twin are really similar. He's a bit more absent minded and head in the clouds kind of a person, but he's a super smart academic with a PhD etc. whereas I'm the sensible one who's in charge most of the time.

2) The first time was a lot easier, I came into the game with no existing reputation so I was kinda free to do what I wanted. In reality, I played such a similar game, it's kind of ridiculous. Play hard at the start, sink below the radar at the merge, start blindsiding all the threats from F9 onwards.

What I'm finding difficult this time is that everyone is here to play and there's no really easy votes. The pre-merge of Faroe Islands was a cakewalk with some really weak players, whereas we were voting out strong people like Nadiya at only our second tribal council.

I also find it tough that the interpersonal relationships are a lot stronger this time. Voting Nate out really pained me, he's such a sound guy and one of my really good friends. Val was the same, we're very good friends but it was the only way for me to keep my alliance with the Sleeper Cell which I needed to keep me going through the later rounds.

3) Honestly, I'm not really sure what they can do. They're hitched to Sierra who is just on a different level to them in terms of jury votes, so there's nobody they can take with them (maybe Tammy?) to offset their lack of play. Sugar has too many enemies and Hayden doesn't have that strong of a presence that they'll pick up jury votes from enough people. Sugar needs to prove she has the skills to win a few challenges and Hayden needs to get ruthless and flip the game somehow to show that he's not just coasting to 3rd place.

#5942 1) So you mentioned previously that you found yourself with a boyfriend this year. How has the reaction been with your family and friends over this?

2)If one of Heidi or Tammy goes this round, as you've mentioned, that means the surviving person becomes immune in the next round, does this factor at all in the decision making?

#5946 Can we take a moment to marvel at Heidi suggesting that she saved me last night by telling the others to vote Nate because he had the idol. Bitch please. She's so out of the loop and thinks she's running the show.

#5960 "The only reason that side went with voting him out is because of the idol fears which WE told them about. We directed the votes away from you - they were pretty set on you until Tammy and I told them about the idol."

As if we didn't all know about the idol already.

It really pains me that people think Heidi is this strategic mastermind, Tammy is 10x the player she is.

#5971 How easy would it be for you to argue a case against Heidi if you two were in the finale?

Heidi benefits from this weird thing that happens where everyone just decides who the big threats are in a semi-arbitrary way. Having been aligned with Heidi, I know she's arrogant, rude and incredibly difficult if things don't go her way, but people are under the false impression that she's been running this game.

If she gets to the end, people will reward her just for getting to there so even though I think she's a pretty poor player, I can't let her get to the end for that reason.

#5985 Before the events start, you mind giving me an update to what's been going on in the tribe? Who have you been talking to? How do you think tonight is going to go down?
