#7438 For the record I 100% cared more about making final three with Tammy than I did about winning. Beating all of you fucking invalids was enough of a victory for me icon_wub

Jeff Probst wrote:Heidi came into this game after having last played in season 12. That was in 2010, 6 years ago. She came into this season amongst players who played stranded only 1 year ago and some only 2 months ago. She didn't know anyone other than her ally Tammy. Yet, she was able to bulldoze her way throughout the season like I have never seen. At one point she was on the bottom clawing her way out of an impossible situation and due to a lucky break was able to survive until the merge. In the merge it was her people vs. Dan's people and she was able to win out. Time and time again she was able to escape seemingly impossible odds to make it all the way until the friggin merge. Unbelievable. She has graduated from All-star to Legend to top 10 all time player. I'll never understand her feud with Dan seeing as they really should have worked together here, but if it ends up consting her the game... I think that's unfortunate. They are so similar and yet, Dan lacks the flexibility to be a truly great player like Heidi is. I think the jury hatred for her is ridiculous. This notion that "Hayden was never in danger so he was a better player" is obsurd. If that were the case than Sherri, Mick Trimming, Rick, would be among the best players of all time. It's ludicris. What makes this game hard is playing publicly enough to WIN but also not publicly enough to stay in the game. Heidi's game is outstanding and i think after the game she will be looked at as one of the all-time greats. I've had a pleasure watching her play and I think the jurors will regret their votes after this is all said and done if they don't see the light in the finals. The one reason I would think Heidi deserves it over Tammy or Hayden is that she has been the most at risk. She was taking bullets and put her own life on the line to get ahead.

Caryn wrote:You were massively robbed here. Apparently the jury can't handle someone as aggressive and in your face as you. Oh well, at least you can proudly say that you were the star of this season, and earned the title of legend. You had an uphill battle from Day 1 and managed to get all the way to the F3, when you found yourself in danger multiple times and managed to survive using your wit and your gameplay. You played a marvelous game, but you also remembered to have a personality. You were very much an arrogant HBIC, but my god was it fun to watch. You consistently entertained me and consistently proved that you are one of the best players to ever play in Stranded, period. Because you have the game and the personality along with it that makes you a star. It was an honor getting to watch you in this.

Congratulations, you are Caryn's ultimate favorite of the season and receive the GOLD medal!

Kelly wrote:You are the unequivocal star of this season. Everything about you and your performance was just, to use a Poody term, Legendary. A lot of people in the game didn't know but you already built up an iconic resume for yourself in Stranded of old so to have you come back after so many years and dominate strategically and socially was just such a blast to watch. I mean literally everything revolved around you this season it was amazing. Thank you so much for agreeing to come back and hopefully this isn't the last we've seen of you (especially considering the 10th anniversary of Stranded is coming)

Varner wrote:Coming into the game, I knew literally nothing about you except that you bullied some disabled girl into quitting long ago. I wasn't expecting much from you and I was beyond surprised at how well you integrated yourself early on. Having read a lot of the confessionals and PMs, I think you're a much better player than you were given credit for. I think your game sort of started unraveling a bit toward the end which probably cost you some votes here at the end. I think you and Tammy making it to the end is a fitting end to the season and you being the tie-breaking vote to give Tammy the win makes it even better. Good game.

#7441 Sierra, what a class act. I was always terrified of you because you were such a sound, fun person. Everyone always suspected everyone else was secretly aligned with Sierra and most of them were probably right.

Jeff Probst wrote:You came into the game and started it with a bang. You controlled early Pohnpei and found the original idol. Then when the swap happened you found the second idol and maintained control. When the third swap happened you made one of the biggest moves in stranded history by playing two idols and voting out Rachel. It was amazing. Then in the merge you found your third idol. And in another great Stranded moment, you were blindsided by playing the idol on Penner and being voted out. It was amazing. I think you have nothing to be ashamed of, you played the game hard came out swinging and went out with a bang. Well done.

Caryn wrote:You, my good sir, are an absolute madman. When you came into Faroe you were basically the comic relief guy of the season, who didn't really start playing the game until after first couple of rounds in the merge. But here, not only did you step your game up from a strategic level, but also an entertainment level. You kind of were an OTT mastermind of sorts. When you were caught in the middle of two sides in the first part of the game, instead of wimping out like a pussy, you took advantage of the situation, played Dan & Jessica against each other in a masterful way. You managed to get your hands on two idols and played them both in beautiful fashion, creating one of the greatest moves I've ever seen in this series. Then you managed to find a 3rd idol, and it was only poetic justice that you got voted out with it in your pocket. Oh, and you fooled Dan into thinking you gave him a real idol and he played it like a fool, that was some good bants. And the cherry on top of all of that is that you kept the same lighthearted and funny attitude you had in Faroe.

Congratulations, you were in Caryn's Top 6 for the season!

Kelly wrote:Out of anyone you definitely came on here to play hard. Finding idols left and right and then doing really ballsy moves with them was so much fun to watch. Even the fact that you went home due to false idol play felt totally appropriate. Anggaling mo pare!

Varner wrote:I guess it was your f8 to finish in n8th place. You played really well in your first -full- season here and a lot of the game's most entertaining moments were a result of you and moves you made. Behind the flashy idol plays and bluffs, you were also a very good player in this game. With a correct idol play, you would've been a real contender to win it all. Good game!

Eh, you forget I had access to Pohnpei tribals and knew it had been played already and said I thought it was likely fake in my confessional. icon_glare

Jeff Probst wrote:Oh I was so hoping Ozzy would win here. He for sure reached legend status this season. I think he's gone from a strategic threat UTR pre-merge boot to an absolute Stranded Legend™. From finding idols on new Pohnpei to shifting the way the politics of the game went to finally his greatest move in teaming up with Heidi/Tammy. I think his mistake was not riding them out to the end. He would have easily won had he done that. Still, what a great character. I loved seeing him play it was an absolute joy. I think he will be remembered as one of the all time great strategists and players in the game. I loved when the merge first happened he kind of bounced between alliances with Val and dictated how the game would go. His friendship and idol hunts with Nate were amazing. I love Ozzy and I'm so thrilled he was a break out star in this season finally making the merge and the final 5 at that. Within an earshot of the final.

Caryn wrote:I am so fucking proud of you. From your tragic quit in Faroe to your robbage in Suriname, you really deserved this. You deserved the spotlight. You are an enthusiastic player and so damn smart that you are basically the overall strong presence of what a well-rounded Stranded player should be. You have the brains, you have the social ability, and you're good at challenges. You're kind of like the Superman of the series, in a sense. The idol play at the F12 was probably the climax of the game, because it caused a big shift. The way you played the Nate vote off was brilliant. You would've easily made the best winner out of everyone this season, so your vote off was a hard pill to swallow. You should be happy you made it all the way to 5th place considering how much of an obvious threat you were, though.

Congratulations, you were Caryn's second favorite this season and receive the SILVER medal.

Kelly wrote: Damn dude, you were playing probably the best game this season, you knew exactly how to position yourself and who the right people to align with and when. The irony of this is that you fell into the same situation I did in our season that you didn't realize that everyone saw you as a huge threat. Watching you fight for your life at the last breath when you were voted off was a sight to behold.

Varner wrote:Your one job in this game was to make me not regret making you my winner pick and while you didn't win, you were very impressive so I don't regret it (that much). In all seriousness, I'm glad you got the chance to right some wrongs after your hard hitting loss in Suriname. Your game here in Micronesia was Varner-esque which is the highest compliment I can give. Likely would've won if not for a couple late-game missteps. Good game!
